The Ugly Truth

Feeling so awfully ugly

Each day consumed by lonely

Friended by nobody

Life is dark and gloomy

Finding ways to be happy

But unloved is what I be

I wasn't born pretty 

All is look what they see

That flattered their vanity

Their laughs irritate me

No. I am not angry

Instead, I envy actually

Why are people blinded by beauty?

Then where on Earth my place'll be?

Not that I beg for sympathy

I need an answer, desperately

Maybe this world just doesn't need me

That's the truth I have to deal with

And yet, the truth is ugly, like me.
